Evita. Was she a Madonna or a myth?

Born Maria Eva Ibaraguen ( E-bara-gwen) in 1919…or perhaps Eva Maria Duarte (Dwar-tay) in 1922. She was certainly a poor, peasant girl from the grassy plains of the Argentine pampas. At the age of 15, she left home to seek her future in Buenos Aires. Her history is clothed in mystery and myth.

Come! Travel with Eva as she is faced with the difficulties of a young girl surviving without education or connections. Follow her as she ascends the ladders of politics and power.

Watch as she becomes a Madonna, a saint to her followers. See her become the mother of the masses, the Spiritual Leader of Argentina. Now, even today, long after her death, she remains a perfect, popular culture icon.
