Paul wrote in 2 Cor. 8:2-3 that the church in Macedonia, "Out of the most severe trial, their overflowing joy and their extreme povery welled up in rich genorisity. For I testify that they gave as much as they were able, and even beyond their own.........."
Paul also wrote in 2 Cor.9: 6-7, "Remember this Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not relcutantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver."
At Wesley United Methodist Church "Cheerful Giving" is encouraged to support the many and varied programs.
